If your vision for your big day involves dried florals? then I’m your florist.

I can create a simple bouquet and buttonhole for a small affair or elopement, or if you have slightly bigger plans, together we can create your vision for your unforgettable big day too.

From table decor to large wreaths for your backdrops, to floor arrangements and more.

I champion British grown & dried florals for those who prefer the ‘gentler on the earth’ approach to their wedding day florals, I even grow some of the flowers myself from my home cutting patch here in south Cumbria, but I can and occasionally use preserved florals if you wish & your theme includes these.

I will guide you through the process, advising on florals, colours, themes & even keep you upto date with photos, etc.. of the progress of your flowers.

Dried flowers are an ideal choice if you want to keep your florals forever as a reminder of your big day, or maybe to gift to family after the day as a thank you. Maybe you’re getting married away from home or abroad then please do get in touch to have a chat.

All wedding florals need to be booked in at least 4-6 weeks prior to date. Early booking is advised. I am currently taking on bookings for 2026.

Please contact me directly by email via the ‘Contact us’ section at the bottom of the page in the first instance for any wedding enquiries.

About the florist

A little about me…..

Hi I’m Bev…….

The face behind ‘Blossomist of the Lakes’, I’ve been a florist for over 16 years, previously working in a high street florist shop in the grey old town of Kendal, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District.

I’ve always loved the creative aspect of floristry & love the diversity that can be achieved using dried florals, plus the added bonus that they can last for years with the right care & attention. I grow lots of my own flowers here in my Cumbrian garden & I also use British grown florals too, to supplement wherever I can & you may even find me out & about foraging locally too on many occasions! The beauty of dried flowers & what I love is that they have a lower carbon footprint & are kinder to the earth which is great bonus too.

I am a wife, mum of two teens & a doggy mum too, who all keep me busy & on my toes. I love the outdoors....but don't all florists? oh & when I'm not busy creating kick ass florals i teach martial arts too! (…see what i did there :) )

I can’t wait to create some everlasting floweriness for all of my customers to enjoy.
